Uncertainty

We came back

To where we started from.

Back to square one.

With no direction,

No companionship,

No ambition.

Alone, lost, confused
And broken.
In million pieces.
Where are the pieces?
Do you have them?
Or did we lose them on our way?

Where are the promises?

Did we forget them too?
Or are they safe somewhere
Locked up in a safe?
Ready to be opened
And unfolded.

Hey! I see a tiny sliver of hope

To guide us through this darkness.
Do you see it too?
Oh, my! Your eyes are closed.
Wake up! It's not time to sleep yet!
We still have such a long way yet to go.

Layers upon layers
Of darkness upon darkness.
I realize it is bleak and scary
But please hold my hand.
I know faith is hard to come by,
Especially, when there is... no real sign of light.

Just follow me along,
I'm sure we can discover the sunrise together.
Yunus (as) did it too,
But only after being stranded in the darkness
And going through what he went through.

Ayub, Ibrahim, Yusuf, Musa, and Zakariya (as),
And our very own beloved Muhammad (pbuh).
All had their shares of darkness,
So what if we have one too?
Keep walking and keep following along
Insha'Allah we'll find our light too.
